Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Description:
Working from home brings unique challenges, such as getting into a call and realizing all the lights and fans have been left on. Or determining who is coming and going from your home. And of course, all of the interruptions while you are on a call. This session aims to help attendees address these problems with basic home automation with little upfront investment. Home Assistant will be the core of the session. With it, most smart devices can be orchestrated, and new devices built and/or added to enhance the existing smart device estate. No existing experience with smart devices or IoT are necessary. Just bring your curiosity and questions!

What you will learn:
  • Setting up Home Assistant
  • Adding integrations for existing devices
  • Creating simple automations
  • Monitoring Teams for call status lighting
