Description:
You've seen people use VSCode, and really it just looks like a reskinned version of ISE or maybe a prettier Notepad. In this session, you'll learn how to better use VSCode in your daily work-life and how with the power of Git you can always know who it was that changed a line of mission-critical code. Some of you might ask but why is that important? Well, as more and more infrastructure moves to cloud-only, you'll have to start thinking about how to manage infrastructure and business logic as code. Enter Azure Functions and the ability to create strong secure automation, with managed change control.

What you will learn:
  • VSCode - How to set up and keep your sanity with it.
  • Git - Branches, Pull Request, Templates Oh My.
  • Azure Functions - How to get started with something simple
  • How to resolve Merge Conflicts in Git
